Refund & Donation Policy

1. Nature of Donations

Donations made to MCI Lakshya Charitable Trust are voluntary contributions made by donors who support our mission. Once a donation is processed, the funds are immediately allocated to ongoing programs in education, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, community welfare, and senior citizen care.

2. Non-Refundable Policy

As a general rule, donations made to MCI Lakshya Charitable Trust are non-refundable. Once a donation has been received, it cannot be returned, since it is deployed promptly toward charitable activities.

3. Exceptions

We may consider refund requests in the following exceptional circumstances:

• A duplicate transaction was processed in error.
• An incorrect amount was charged due to a clear technical error.
• The donation was made fraudulently using the donor's payment instrument without their consent.

4. Refund Request Process

If you believe your case qualifies under Section 3 above:

• Email mcicharitabletrust@gmail.com within 7 days of the transaction.
• Include the donor's name, date of transaction, amount, payment ID/reference, and reason for the refund request.
• We will review the request and respond within 7 working days.
• If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 working days, depending on the payment gateway and bank.

5. 80G Receipt & Refund

If a refund is approved and an 80G tax receipt has already been issued, the receipt will stand cancelled and a cancellation confirmation will be sent. The donor will be expected to not claim the original receipt for tax exemption.

6. Cancellations

One-time donations cannot be cancelled once submitted. If you have set up a recurring donation in the future, you may cancel future instalments by emailing us at least 7 days before the next charge date.

7. Failed Transactions

If your payment fails or shows a discrepancy (such as money debited but donation not registered), please contact us with the transaction details. Such cases are usually resolved automatically by the payment gateway within 5–7 working days; we will help follow up if needed.
